Photo was taken on November 24, 2015 at a protest in Chicago on Magnificent Mile. It documents the civil unrest after dash cam video showing officer Jason Van Dyke shooting unarmed black teenager Laquan McDonald 16 times was released to the public. Protesters blocked the entrance to shops on Black Friday embodying the idea of "hitting the city where it hurts" by shutting down the street where thousands of people shop on the busiest day of the year. Anger, frustration, and confusion were in the air. All people wanted was answers, and accountability.
